My shop started life in March 2018 under the name ‘Yas Queen’...

I’d been through a rough 6 months and part of the process of me getting better involved going for CBT. One of the main things me & my great therapist, Tony, ended up focusing on was self-care. It became an ongoing joke that I’d bring our discussions back to RuPaul’s quote ’If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else!’ (At that same time I came across Drag Race & got a tad obsessed... The drag queens stories were a comfort & the series provided a much needed escape).

When my sessions came to an end I wanted to get Tony a card to thank him but couldn’t find a good one with the quote on it so thought, ‘Well, maybe I’ll make one myself’...

So, the ‘Love Yourself’ print was my first design & the most meaningful to me. It marks the beginning of a better time. It brings me great joy to see others having it on their walls & hope it helps them to remember how important self-love & care is.
